Puerto Rico FC kicks off the 2017 NASL season against the defending champions New York Cosmos this Saturday, March 25 at Juan Ramón Loubriel Stadium.

PRFC expects to continue its good form from the latter half of this past Fall Season where they were unbeaten in eight of the eleven matches. A core group of players return for the 2017 season highlighted by forward Héctor “Pito” Ramos and goalkeeper Trevor Spangenberg. Pito led the team in goals and was tied for the lead in assists while Spangenberg was named the starter in week 12 and never relinquished the job thanks to spectacular performances against FC Edmonton, Miami FC and the Tampa Bay Rowdies among others.

Joining the squad this year is an abundance of attacking options that will complement Spangenberg and the PRFC defense. These new players bring a balanced combination of youth and experience at some of the highest level, such as the English Championship, MLS and Liga Adelante.

The Cosmos are coming from a successful preseason in the Dominican Republic and Bermuda, with wins over the Dominican National Team and Atlético Pantojas, as well as a draw against the Bermuda National Team. As usual, New York made good use of their international roster spots signing Amauri, Richard Menjivar, Irvin Herrera, among others.

#PRFCvNYC kicks off at 7:30 this Saturday, but our Fan Fest outside the stadium starts at 5:00pm with music and giveaways. Get your tickets now starting at $10 at and
