San Juan, Puerto Rico- Puerto Rico FC players joined the efforts to help the island in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria while in Orlando, participating in food drives and collections of other essential items during an emergency.
Once the season was done, the team returned to Puerto Rico to help directly those affected the most by the hurricane. On the first day back, Giuseppe Gentile, Phanuel Kavita, Seth Moses, and Austin Pack, along front office staff and PRFC’s Community Relations Manager Alexis Rivera, went to Allied Rent-A-Car’s collection center in Carolina to unload water, canned food and clothing from containers so they can be distributed throughout the island.
“As a club we were anxious to get back to the island and start helping,” said Rivera. “Today was the first of many efforts we will join to help in the recovery of Puerto.”
In the next days PRFC players would visit the town of Maunabo and organized free clinics for kids.
